Barahona Gets New Road
COFOA leaders from Barahona, El Salvador, have worked tirelessly to get their road upgraded to minimize danger during seasons of flooding. They recently met with Gerson Martinez, Minister of Public Works, to secure a solution to their problem. In that meeting, the public works minister committed to fix the road. Three months after the meeting, machinery is in place to begin reconstruction of the road. Before construction, flooding isolated Barahona during long rainy seasons and prevented ambulances and other vehicles from reaching Barahona.
