2015 Year in Review: Lights Come to Mumeya

Seven years ago, Specioza adopted a little girl named Pico when her mother died in childbirth. It took Mumeya leaders 10 years to finish their health clinic. This year, they brought electricity to the clinic and the 10 surrounding villages. Specioza is proud to say, “Now that we are educated and we have our health center, no mothers or children die here. Malnutrition is almost finished. Malaria doesn’t kill people as it did in the past. Today our children are reading books at night. We created a new family to develop our homes and our nation.”
